According the the Houston Chronicle, Jose Valverde is still the Astros closer and was just given the night off.
Good news for Valverde's owners. Hopefully he can turn things around soon.

He should be endorsing the idea of letting his starters finish the game unless they need to be relieved. Oh, that's right. That is what the "closer" is for.
