One of our favorites here at "Greener," Chris Young, is a few hours away from taking the mound at PETCO Park. If Young can stay consistent and healthy, as he was prior to last season's All-Star break, he can be a force as San Diego's No. 2 behind ace Jake Peavy.
Peavy made easy work of the 'Stros last night, not allowing a run, and I expect Young to have the similar luck. Although the Houston lineup has pop with Michael Bourn leading off, and the power hitting trio of Miquel Tejada, Lance Berkman and Carlos Lee; Young plus the confines of San Diego's home park make this a win-able game for the Cy Young candidate.
I think those bats get going soon for Houston, but not at PETCO tonight.
