Up and Down in Oaktown

As should be expected, the Oakland A's are meager one night and surprisingly good the next. On this night, they compiled 13 runs on 15 hits. They roughed up current AL darling, Brian Bannister, to the tune of 5 runs on 9 hits.

Bobby Crosby is trying to flash the potential he's once shown, by staying healthy thus far and going 3 for 5 with a home-run, 2 doubles, 3 runs and 5 rbi on the night. He has upped his average to .282 and is raising the hopes of the Crosby-faithful that he can finally stay healthy and return to the slugging SS that he was in his rookie year.

Kurt Suzuki is continuing to show that he belongs. He is turning in solid numbers at the catcher position and batted leadoff for the first time this year on Friday night and went 2 for 4 with two runs scored. His average is up to .339 in 59 ab.

Contact-rate monster, Emil Brown also had a muy largo night. Going 3 for 5 with a double, 2 runs and 3 rbi.

I think all Oakland players could be considered under-the-radar, so keep an eye on them as you might be able to snag yourself a gem.
