Edinson Volquez continues his strong start to the 2008 season.
This time he stifled the Dodgers enroute to his third victory in four tries.
In his longest outing of the season, Volquez went seven innings allowing only three hits and one run while striking out seven and walking four.
The walks continue to be a little high, but he continues to strike out better than a batter an inning thus far.
Using a consistent 94 mph fastball and a very good 83 mph change, the young man is keeping hitters off balance and also is mixing in a curve and a slider to boot.
He seems comfortable throwing any pitch at any time, which is a good thing for the Reds and fantasy owners alike.
If you get a chance, watch him pitch, I gurantee you'll enjoy the show.
