Yanks Beat Jays 3-2 In Opener

Melky Cabrera's 6th inning solo-homer tied the game 2-2 and Hideki Matsui grounded into a fielder's choice in the 7th, scoring Alex Rodriquez and putting the Yanks ahead for good.

Chien-Ming Wang gets the victory for New York, while Roy Halladay is credited with the "L."

Mariano Rivera came in and tossed a perfect 9th to notch the save.

A-Rod and Bobby Abreu each had 2 hits for the Yanks, and the Blue Jays offense was pretty quiet, getting just 6 total hits.

Marco Scutaro was Toronto's fantasy gem of note, stealing 2 bases.
